What a wonderful day we had for this event which was held to thank Trisha for her outstanding contribution to the Group and her installation as Honorary Life President.  The sun shone throughout which enabled members to stand outside, fruit punch in hand, chatting before the main event took place.   Our Club Secretary had secured the services of a guitarist to serenade us before the meal, which was very much enjoyed and added to the general ambience of the afternoon.  The Committee had also decorated the Hall with bunting and placed small posies of flowers on each table which made it look very appealing. The very tasty tea, with dainty sandwiches, scones, sausage rolls and tiered plates of scrummy cakes was provided by outside caterers.   I don't think anyone went away feeling hungry!
